Cranky Cockatoo? Scaredy Cat? Anxious Pup? Reiki can help!!** I have used Reiki to treat cats and dogs, I've even Reiki'd a donkey!! And, I give both of my parrots Reiki treatments every single day! They are both senior birds - one has arthritis, and the other liver issues, and while Reiki can't cure either issue, the one with arthritis does seem more comfortable after I treat her. At this time, I generally do not offer in-person animal Reiki because if the animal is unfamiliar to me, they may not want to come into my personal space, and therefore I cannot treat them hands on. Animals should never, ever be forced to have Reiki, it is unethical to grab and hold on to an animal to use hands-on positions. I recently saw this in a video and it made my blood boil - animals need to have agency! If they don't want a treatment, they shouldn't be forced to have one. If we decide we do want to try an in-person session*** at your home (as of now, only available in Astoria), I can start with distance, and if your beloved companion wishes for me to lay my hands on them, I can do that while not breaking the distance connection, so they can come and go, according to their comfort level. If I cannot connect energetically to your pet, you will not be charged. Since animals, at least the ones I treat, are much smaller than humans, treatment should only take about 20 minutes or so.
